Lessons are online and one-on-one, booked around your schedule and time zone.

What Is the TOEFL?

The TOEFL iBT is an English test from ETS, used by universities in the US, the UK and elsewhere. It is taken on a computer at a test center or at home.

  • Reading and Listening — academic texts, lectures and conversations
  • Speaking — short spoken responses recorded on the computer
  • Writing — written responses to academic tasks

ETS has updated the test format and scoring recently, so always check the latest details on ets.org before you book.

Recorded speaking and timed writing are new to many test-takers. Your tutor helps you plan quick, clear answers.

  • Speaking — structure, timing and pronunciation
  • Writing — organising ideas and using academic vocabulary
  • Feedback on every practice response
