English Language - Paper 1
English Literature - Paper 2
Paper 1
Students will be trained in writing skills and speaking skills. Grammar exercises will be given on a regular basis to ensure that the margin of error is minimised. Comprehension of unseen texts is important and regular practice will be given in this area.
Regular written practice (question papers) will help students get high grades.
Paper 2
This entails Drama, Short stories and Poetry. Students will be taught through interactive discucuss, presentations and individual tasks. The conventions of the genres will be taught. Practice with probable questions will help students learn from mistakes and help them achieve good grades. Revision exercises will help hone their writing ability as well as teach them time management.
Regular written practice (question papers) will ensure top marks.

Paper 1
Texts will be taught for L
Non literary texts will be taught Land L
Apart from learning in depth analysis of literary texts in L and non-literary texts in Land L, students will become independent thinkers and problem solvers. Classes will be discussion based, catering to clarifying every doubt of the learner. Ample revision practice will be given to ensure that each learner develops to be a high achiever.
Paper 2
This is text based for L as well as L and L. Intertextuality is the key here and students will be taught how to navigate the key words of the questions asked in order to achieve the highest grade. Past paper practice will help students achieve this.
Individual oral
This part of the course requires candidates to speak with confidence on the texts chosen in connection with a global issue. Classes will be conducted to guide learners to be clear on the issue chosen and the connection to the texts. Training will be given to speak flently and also answer the questions asked by the examiner.
Higher level essay
Students with be guided to write a research based essay on a literary text ( L) or non literary text ( Land L) of their choice. The line of enquiry will be the student's choice. Students will be helped with the drafts with valuable insights to ensure that the end result is as perfect as is possible.
